William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil in Lord of the Flies. For example, Ralph recently threw away all his beliefs and joined the hunting group with Jack. Golding shows how even the nicest people in the world can eventually turn evil. Golding also shows how the mean can stay evil their whole lives, just like Jack.

William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the book by showing how evil the evil tribe really is. They do this by painting their faces and the eveil tribe is the ones that kill simon and piggy and they beat up piggy and ralph for piggys glasses. The overall message is that people are not always what you think they are. This is because in the beginning of the book everybody was getting along and then as the heat and the savegry gets to the boys you see how evil they can really be.

William Golding creates many conflicts of good vs. evil in the novel. he put Raplh (Good) vs. jack (evil) once they carsh on the island; this conflict ends up killing 2 people and stoping any chance of being rescued. he also reveals an important message in the novel; this message is that good doesn't always win. Like when Simon, piggy die do to Jacks savages and when Jack splits up the group and turns against Raplh.
William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil in the Lord of the Flies, such as when Jack led his hunters in killing a sow, which is a mother pig. This showed how even though these kids needed something with more substance, like meat, they are behaving selfishly by killing a mother and forcing its children to probably die. Another example is when Jack starts to build defenses to protect themselves against the beast, but instead he uses them to kill Piggy and destroy the conch, whoch was the one symbol of order and stability for the boys.

William Golding shows good vs. evil in the novel when the boys take away piggy's glasses. Piggy was a innocent kid who was just trying to help people out and then the hunters stalk him in the night and take them. He shows that people can easily turn evil easily. All they need is a little influence and they can turn into evil.
-Joe Kubicsko
When Jack leaves Ralph's tribe, this is when good verses evil. Jack's tribe is evil and Ralph's tribe is good. When Ralph went to the feast, the tribe killed Simon. Ralph felt remorse, but Jack and his tribe didn't. Also, all Jack cares about is hunting and the beast. Ralph on the other hand, cares about trying to get rescued by having a fire that will be a good signal.
William Golding does highlight the conflict of good vs evil in this novel multiple times. The most significant encounter was between Simon and the Lord of the Flies. Simon representing good, and the lord of the flies representing evil. After the lord of the flies taunts him, he passes out and falls to the ground. I beleive that the overall m essage conveyed through this conflict was that there is evil in the world, and all people have a dark side. And sometimes good doesnt prevail

William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the novel by showing how each boy has changed throughout the novel. For most of the boys, especially Jack, they became savages and can't differentiate between what's real and what Jack is telling them is real. The overall message is that everyone has a dark side whether they decide to use it or not. Jack's tribe shows their evil side by painting their faces and doing rituals around the fire. Plus, they were responsible for Simon's death and Piggy's death. Ralph is one of the only one's who is still good and innocent.
I think William Golding Highlights the conflicts of good versus evil in the novel in a few ways. First, it is set during a time of atomic war. War always represents conflicts between good and evil in societies. On the island the conflict is between the civilized approach of Ralph and Piggy to trying to survive. The fire and the conch represent order and respect for each other. The brutal slaughtering of the pigs and the war paint represent evil. When Jack and his tribe turn against Ralph, Piggy and Sameric they are so cruel and inhumane. Their behavior represents evil in society.

William Golding shows how conflict occurs not only by war and fighting on outside but on the inside like how the hunters became savages. His message is no one person can truly stay good or stay evil under any circumstances.

William Golding highlights the conflict of good v. evil in the book by showing the reader the struggle for power between Ralph (good) and Jack (evil). The struggle leads to the "evil" tribe of Jack becoming savages and killing 2 innocent people, Simon and Piggy. The "good" tribe believes that there is nothing to stop it, which makes them evil too. The overall message is that evil overpowers the good, and that all good people can become evil.

William Golding shows good vs evil in many ways in the book lord of the flies for example when the boy start to turn into savagis and when Ralph loses his sense of the law and good nature
William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs evil by expanding on the theme of civilization vs savagery. The side of Ralph who represents good with order, peace and respect differs from Jack's side of evil with desire for power. The message he conveys is that people are either good or evil, and in situations like this, their true colors are really shown.
William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the novel by making each boy represent a part of our society. He turns the boys into savages and makes Jack their leader. The boys don't even know what they are doing and what they have done to simon and piggy because Jack has dragged their minds so far away from reality. He shows how even the nicest of people can be turned into evil if they are with the wrong people. These boys don't have any good left in them except for Ralph.

William Golding shows good vs. evil in the book Lord of the Flies. He shows us throughout the book how evil can sometimes take over the good. For example when Jacks crew murdered an innocent boy Simon just because it might of been the Beastie. Also another example is how Jacks Crew invaded Ralph and Piggy's area just to get Piggy's glasses for fire. Throughout this novel William Golding shows you how the most innocent can even turn evil.
William Golding shows good vs. evil in the book Lord of the Flies many times, was when innocent Simon was coming down from the mountains to tell them what the beast actually was. Then when they saw something moving in the bushes the attacked and killed him. even though some people thought it was the beast others realized it was Simon and still went on killing him. That was one example of good vs. evil

William golding shows examples of good vs. evil in Lord of the Flies, for example when the hunting tribe steals piggy's glasses. they paint their faces and attack Ralph and Piggy. Everyone is both good and evil, some people are more one than the other.
Peter Korcz
William Golding shows examples of good vs. evil in the novel. Wether its murder of simon. The conflict between ralph and jack where the split in to tribes one good and one not so good or the fact that 2 people have died.it realy shows how the boys have changed
William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil by the struggle for power between the two main characters, Ralph (good) and Jack (evil). This conflict has lead Jack's crew to turn to savagery and murder 2 of the most innocent characters, Simon and Piggy. This conflict has also caused Ralph's "good" crew to participate in the hunting ritual. Overall, this conveys the message that everybody has a dark side and naturally turns to savagery.
-Christina Cluxton
William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the novel by focusing on the conflict of two of the characters, Ralph and Jack. Ralph represents good while Jack represents evil. The message William Golding conveys throughout the novel is that everybody has a dark side and they will likely show it in grim times. An example of this is shown in the form of Jack and many of the other kids, as they go from ordinary kids to savage, man-eating brutes because of their situation.
-Steven Barbato
William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil, for example when ralph went on a whim and joined jacks hunting group. This clash of sides states that as the boys stay on the island they become more like savages each day. Another example is that when all the boys turn on piggy and steal his glasses and use them to start a fire. He needs his glasses to see but all they thought of themselves and that they wanted to get off the disland and didnt think on how it would effect piggy. It wa difficult for Piggy to see because half the lense were scratched.
William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil through out the novel. Like when the boys beat ralph and piggy up so they can get piggys glasses to start the fire, also when they kill simon because they thought he was the beast.

William Golding highlights the conflict of good versus evil by showing how the society of children changes from a good, civilized society to an evil savage one. This is shown when Ralph joins the hunting party and hits the pig with the spear. He does this because he wants food, but by joining the party he is allowing for the rise in the evil savage community. It is also shown when Ralph allows for the killing of Simon by the hunters to occur. The killing demonstrates that evil has risen above goodness, and that the civilized society has ended. The message the author is trying to protray is that in certain conditions, people can dramatically change from good to evil.
William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil in The Lord of the Flies. The boys show evil as being hunters and killing the pig for dinner. They also try to find the beastie and they kill it. Unfortunatly, it is not the beast it is Simon and they kill him because they were so angry at the beast. They also kill Piggy because of their anger, and these two conflicts make it so they can not get rescued. For a good example, the boys all work together to survive by building shelter, fire, hunting and get along. All Jack cares about is himself and letting himself survive on the island and be the leader. Piggy and Ralph are the good guys and they try to save everyone else and put their intelligence/ surroundings first to help them discover mysteries.
William Golding shows good vs. evil in many ways. For example, the boys of Jacks tribe suck out to steal Piggys glasses. Piggy was just trying to help everyone by starting the fire. Also, the boys turned from good to evil when they attacked Simon. Simon was a innocent little boy trying to tell the boys what he saw and he got killed in the end of it. This message shows how easily evil can take over in a moment.
William Golding shows one example in "The Lord Of The Flies" of Good vs. Evil by Jack's group of boys and Ralph's group of boys. Jack's group of boys would be "Evil" and Ralph's group of boys would be "Good". Jack is eveil because he and his group of boys stole Piggy's glasses from Ralph's group and that is the only way that Ralph's group can make fire.

William Golding highlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the book by showing how the tribes were spilt. Jack was the evil that took the group to spilt apart. Piggy and Ralph were the ones who wanted to keep the peace. The overall message was that the people you think will stick it out and be there for you can snap in a minute. Always watchnyour back and trust the people you know are true.

In the book Lord of the Flies which happens to be written by William Golding. The author shows the themes good versus evil. He shows the theme goodness because in the book Ralph and Piggy are trying to do what is best for the kids in order to help them survive. On the contrary Jack and the tribe of savages represent evil because they disregard all matters of civilization and do not care that they kill Simon (a boy who is innocent and does not deserve death) for no reason other then they are savages.

William Golding Shows many examples of good vs. evil in Lord of the Flies. Every time Ralph and Jack argue it shows good vs. evil. When Jack starts hunting and Ralph argues that they should worry about making shelters. Then later on in the book when Jack leaves Ralph to start his own tribe. Then the savages start to hunt Ralph and it shows that good is losing against evil. William Golding is trying to portray that everyone has evil in them. Even Ralph showed evil when he speared the pig and joined in the dance which eventually led to Simon's death.
William Golding shows a lot of good vs. evil conflicts in the novel. For example, the two main characters Ralph and Jack are a good way of showing good vs. evil. Ralph really wants get off the island while Jack is getting comfortable and starts a tribe, also he is getting used to living on the island and not caring about getting off. In the beginning of The Lord of the Flies, everyone had been getting along and were all on the same page of things, until the novel got deeper and deeper into the story and soon there was groups being made between the boys. People started to become more like savages than staying like humans and unfortunately evil can get to the best of us and change us completely as it did to Jack.
William Golding represents Jack as evil and Ralph as good. Jack shows evil with chants and hunting and painting his face making him look like a savage. Ralph is good with his ideas of democracy with the conch being equally heard.

William Golding shows numerous examples of good vs evil in Lord of the Flies. For example, He shows how the beast is the savagery in the boys, when Simon is seen as the beast and the boys brutally murder him. This shows how Simon is the good in humans and Jack and the other boys' savagery is the evil that is in all human beings.
In the novel, Lord of the Flies, WIlliam Golding, brings up many examples of good vs. evil. The most basic example of this in the novel is Ralph vs. Jack. Ralph is a good boy who wants to stay true to his beliefs. He represents good and civilization while Jack represents evil and savagery. In this conflict evil keeps winning out after the construction of the idea of the beastie. Ralph gives up on his strong belief to join Jacks hunting group and they end up killing Simon the kindest one of all of them. Eventually Ralph and his goodness lose all control.
William Golding displays conflict of good vs. evil in the novel by showing the savergy Jack and his hunters begin to seriously have when actually killing Simon and saying he was the 'beastie' in disguise, while Ralph and Piggy don't take place in such hostile activity.
golding showed that the hunters were evil and so was jack , he showed the boys split up into two tribes, the good tribe consiting of ralph, piggy, sam and eric. and the evil tribe consisting of jack and his hunters. he also showed jacks tribe become so evil they kill piggy and try to kill the others as well
william Golding shows many different examples of good vs. evil
Good: Ralph and Piggy are trying not to start anything with Jack's tribe (evil) and their trying to survive without becoming barbaric.
Evil: Golding shows how evil Jack's tribe really is by fighting Ralph and Piggy and trying to take Piggy's glasses. Also how Jack killed Simon, and the way the tribe does that. Also how they chant around the fire.
William Golding shows good vs. evil in the book lord of the flies by having most of the boys beome savages. They kill piggy with a rock and simon in thought that is was the beast. The savages wear war paint to look like real warriors. Golding shows that Good can be taken over by evil. In the story ralph looses sight what good is.
William Golding portrays a plethora of examples of good vs evil; such as when Jack's group attacked Ralph and Piggy for the glasses. Another example is when the boys killed Simon. Being put in tough situations can turn anyone evil.

william golding sjowed examples of Good vs evil. like Ralph was the one that wanted to have civilized life on the island. but when jack was hunting Ralph went with them and got really into it. it shows the people that will want to be good will edventually could go evil.
In the book, the conflict of good vs. evil is represented between Ralph and Jack. Jack and his tribe became savages, and only care about hunting and killing, and they represent the evil in people. On the other hand, Ralph represents the good in people, and he tries to keep a civilized society and do whats necesary to be able to survive and get rescued. I think the message is that every person has some bad and some good in them, but they have the power to choose which one to be.
William Golding hightlights the conflict of good vs. evil in the book in many examples. For instance, he shows how Ralph and Piggy stay good, while Jack makes everyone become evil. Eventually Ralph gradually goes more to the evil side showing that in some situations, everyone can be evil.
Good vs. evil is highlighted in the conflict of this novel by conveying some of the boys such as Ralph as good, and Jack as evil. The message that is being shown is that when in desperate situations, people cannot always be relied on to do the right thing. With no adult direction, nothing stops Jack and his followers to act evil, and kill Simon and Piggy.
William golding shows alot of examples of good vs. evil in this book. Such as, Ralph becoming a hunter, showing that the niced people can turn evil. He also shows that good doesnt always win, Jack lighting the island on fire to try and smoke Ralph out of the woods leads to them getting saved.
The author, dont really feel like writing out his whole name, highlights a huge conflict between Good and Evil under certain circumstances. Shows how the civilized lifes of prep student boys are changed drastically under certain measures, they turned into murdering savages and he provieds us with a terrific story, now thats an answer-cheesehead
In LOTF, William Golding displays many conflicts between good and evil. There is a struggle between savagery and civilization. Through this confrontation, Golding conveys his views that democracy is superior to communism. He uses Ralph as the democratic leader and Jack as the communist leader. Their seperate communities represent the opposing societies.
- Lindsay Wellinger
William golding shows many examples of good vs. evil like when simon represents good and the beast who is talking to him is evil. The beast says he will control him and he is his only chance of survival. also there is Ralph who is good vs. jack who is evil because he wants to kill and he is a savage. Ralph is more civilized and wants to work things out instead of fighting.
In the novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding shows a lot of examples of good vs. evil.
Good: The good in the novel is represented by Ralph who longs for civilization, Piggy who stands for knowledge and sanity and the 'littluns' who represent innnocence.
Evil: Contrasting the good characters in the book is Jack. He represents savagery and all the evil that the boys are trying to avoid. He has many conflicts with the good characters in the book.
Sorry it's so late.
William Golding shows many examples of good vs. evil in Lord of The Flies. For example, when cililization is lost the weak are lost wit it and savergry begins, with a constant battle against the civilized. Good vs. Evil.
-Travis Thornton
