Yes, competition usually brings out the worst side of people. This is because the desire to win usually makes people do things, that they would normally regret.

Competition brings out the worst in people because if they really want to win they will go to extreme measures to achieve the goal. They may cheat or lie in order to get the victory.

Competition brings out the worst in people becuase the willingness to win can make a person very nasty and they may do anything to that other person to win.

it depends, it brings out the worse side of aggressive people because they want to win and such but the more patient, less aspiring people have their better side brought out because it gives them a friendly thing to talk about in common normally and they often want to represent themselves positevely

competition can bring out the best and worst. people will try harder to win but if they lose they could be a bad sport

Competition brings out the worst in people because it shows how badly someone desires something and they will do anything it takes to win that competition.

Competition brings out the worst in people because they would have a desire to win so they would do whatever it takes to accomplish their goal even if it is not the right decision. Some of the decisions that were made might hurt others.

It can bring out the worst in people because if people are egar to win, they may do things that you wouldnt expect them to do. They can probably hurt your feelings without knowing it. Also, people want feel more superior than you, and sometimes that can be bad.

Competition does bring out the best in people becuase their desire to win brings out the fight in them.

i feel that competition brings out the worst in people because most of the time people are very competitive and strive for what they want, that sometimes turns into doing something completely outrageous.

Competition brings out the best and the worst in people. The best part that is brought out is that you are trying your best, although it may not be for the right reasons. However, competition mostly brings out the worst in people because they want to be the best and show off. They may do or say things that they wouldn't normally and will do anything, such as lie or betray others, to do what is best for themselves.

Competition brings out the worst in people because if the prize is something that everyone wants badly, they are willing to sabotage the other people so that they get the prize they're after. People do the worst thing to other people in a competition.

I think competition brings out the best in all people for many reasons. It motivates people and gives them a drive to be the best and more successful in what they do.

competition brings out the worst in people. competition can make people become agressive, jealous, and annoyed. some people would do anything possible to win in a competition, which makes them look really bad.

Competition brings out the best and the worst in people. It can show how talented they are and how hard they will try to succeed, but if they really want to win, they might lie or cheat and show a bad side to them.

Competition can bring out the best in people. People who may not be good with words, or have trouble expressing themselves can really show what they're capable of through competition. Including sports, contests clubs, etc...

Competition brings out the worst in people because it drives people to points where they would do things that they would regret, in order to win.

competition brings out the best in peoples abilitys to do that specific task but personality wise you may see the angry crazy wanting to win no matter what side. They could show you a side of them that is completly unlike their regular pesonality.

Competition brings out the best and worst in people. It brings out the worst because sometimes they would do things that are unfair to the other competitors and it brings out the best in people because they will go to great lengths to acheive their goal and it will force them to try hard.

I thnk it can go both ways. Competition can make someone really gain confidence in themselves and try their hardest and show how much they can succeed, but i the long run it can also make people meaner and think they are better than you and may do anything just to prove that they are better than you.

competition brings out the best and worst in some people. Some people lie and cheat to win but some people competition brings out there inner leadership and team work

I believe that competition brings out the worst in people. People tend to become more aggressive and greedy.

Jillian Haufsk said...

I believe that competition brings out the worst in people because they feel so strong about themselves that they forget whats sane. They'll do anything in there power to win no matter how irrational it is. People will cheat and lie their way through just to come out looking like the winner, when really there not.

Competition brings out the worst in people. This is because people will do anything to win even if it means lying, making the wrong decisions, or hurting others.

Competition brings out the worst in people because a lot of times they get pushed over the edge. It is one thing to really want to do good and your best at something.. However if you really are a competitive person, a lot of times you can take it to far. You get very agressive toward other people who are competing against you. Many times if you are a very competivitve person, others will not want to compete with you.

danielle said...

Yes, competition brings out the worst in people. If people want to win really bad, then they will do anything to get to that point even if its a competiton against your friends.

Kelsey said...

It depends on who the person is. Competition can bring out both the best and the worst in people if they want to achieve something enough. If one will do anything to win such as cheating, then that will bring out the worst in people. On the other hand, if one wants to win by trying their hardest and giving it all they've got, the best will come out.

Competition has the tendency to bring out the worst in people. This is due to the fact that everyone wants to succeed, so they may decide to deceive and trick others. This could eventually lead to fighting and arguing. Without competition, people would be more peaceful and more accepting of others.

I believe that competition brings out both the best and worst in people because it could help people try their best and try to gain self-confidence. However, it brings out the worst in people by causing them to loss self-restraint and compassion, which leads theese people to hurt others.

competition may bring out the worst, or best in people. it can bring out the worst in people for those who have short tempers and put a lot of effort into the thing there doing. It can bring out the best in you when your not very active but when something competitive comes up you get into it and you show your best work.

Unknown said...

Competetion brings out the best in people because they want to be better then the people that they are competing with. They try there best to be better then the other person so they work hard.

competition can bring both the best and worst of people. It brings the best because you can work together as a team to get the win, which comes with a good outcome. But it can work for the worst because it might bring out that ugly side of someone who wants it all to themselves, and in which they will do anything to get that win. For example possibly hurting someone or going to the extreme to make their way to the top.

Kevin H said...

it brings out the worst of people because they are more willing to do what is necessary to win even if it goes against their ethics which isn't the best in a person.

Competition could bring out the best in a person who has always worked hard for a goal of doing well at something by helping them try to improve certain qualities in themselves. It could also become a bad thing for those who compete not because they love what they are doing, but only so they could be better then everyone else.

ride bmx said...

Competition brings out the best in people, because without the motivation of others you may not push your self to go farther.

Brittney said...

competition brings out the worst in people because if someone really wants to win, they will do anything to achieve it, no matter how drastic. but, it can also bring out the best in you because people will try harder than what they normally would to reach their goal but then when they want it too badly then that's when it gets out of hand and effects them negatively.

Anonymous said...

Competition brings out the worst in people because it causes people to do things that are immoral or that will hurt others just to win. However, competition can be good if the competitors are honest people who just want to work hard to satisfy a goal as well as themselves.

Unknown said...

I think competition can bring both the worst and best out of people. I think this because people desire to win so much that they would do anything to win like cheating or hurting someone thats point bring the worst of people. but the part that would bring out the best in people is they desire so much to win they try there hardest to achieve. victory

JamesRicotta said...

Yeah beacuase its human instinct to win and be on top over your competitors. Meaning you will do anything you can to win, anything, even if its betraying your best friend and not in favor of someone close to you.

Competition makes things more exiting, But it brings out the worst in people because some times people take it to seriously and do anything it takes to win.

Competition brings out the worst and best of people. A positive would be people work hard and try to be above average. A negative is that people will cheat to be the best. They will resort to anything to be the best.

It could be a bad thing because someone would want to really win so they could do something bad. It could be good though because it will make someone feel better about themselves.

I believe competition brings out the best in people. It gives people a goal to work off and make themselves better or try harder. Without competition, this world wouldn't progress.

Yes competition brings the worst out in people because they will strive to achieve their goal. WHen achieve goals people are blind folded like a horse in a race they only see what their desiring not how their decisons affect people or the future.

Alyssa Sadusky said...

Competition does bring out the worst in very competitive people. People use competition as something to help them vent their feelings. It could be dangerous if someone were to take competition to seriously.

carly bogart said...

competition for the most part brings out the worst in people. it causes friendships to breakup and the desire to be better than everyone and to be someone different,to stretch your capabilities. which means that your not comfortable with who u are just the way you are which is not a good quality to have.

GGAS said...

I think that competition brings out both, mostly the best and the worst a little. One day you could be having an excellent game and be so proud with others complementing you. You could bean excellent leader and have many wins. That is the best in a person having to be pushed to new heights. Every once in awhile something will happen that youwill regret and force yourself to do things that your not used to doing. This could lead to cheating which is the worst in people.

I think competition does bring out the best in people, without competition our world would be different. I think a good example would be sports, sports always bring out the best in a person. It also depends on how you handle the competition. Some people have a respect for their rival and some do not.

Competition can bring out the best and the worst in people. Some people will do anything just to win, and some people just like the competition and will try their hardest and give it their all.
